Antares began his career as an adwriter, multimedia

creative consultant - but soon got totally involved in theatre and
music as actor, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter.
In 1998 his ethnic fusion group, AKAR UMBI (featuring the famous Orang
Asli ceremonial singer Mak Minah) was invited to perform at the first
Rainforest World Music Festival. Antares became a regular at the RWMF
and in 2005 was commissioned to produce a docufeature (Rhythm of the
Rainforest) about this phenomenally successful event. Hours of video
footage shot at RWMF 2006 and 2007 have now been edited and digitized
for the first public screening ever.
